Inverness welcomes Scarlet
Having passed the halfway point and begun the journey south Scarlet has arrived in Inverness. Speaking to Cath earlier she commented on how welcome “We’ve had an incredible welcome into Inverness Marina. Geoff Ashton and Jamie Hogan have really made us feel right at home and have already jumped on board to help us sort out a couple engineering issues. They have also organized Highland Taxis to support us, who are taking us on a tour of Inverness tomorrow, and bending over backwards to help us out whenever we need them (Karen has been taken off to the shops as we speak - all FOC). The RNLI also welcomed us in and escorted us up Inverness Firth, giving all the crew a whizz around in the inshore lifeboat - lots of happy smiling faces!
Thanks to Simon Rowell for the heads up on the weather- I’m really glad we’re in Inverness Firth today and not trapped in Buckie.”
